Our aims :
The wisdom of Buddha Manjushri is transmitted through Je Tsongkhapa's teachings, which in turn passed in an unbroken lineage from teacher to student in the Ganden tradition. Our great masters such as Pabongkha Rinpoche and Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche taught these pure methods for progressing on the stages of the path to enlightenment. Furthermore, our present teachers continue to spread this Dharma through their teachings and blessings.

Moncton Buddhist Center's aim is to help others understand the essence of the Ganden lineage, so that the mind of enlightenment may flourish in people's hearts. By receiving teachings and putting them into practice, the Dharma community also enables the flourishing of this pure lineage. Through their kindness and wisdom, Dharma friends assist each other on the various stages of the path -- from reliance on the spiritual guide to realizing the ultimate nature of reality.

By studying Buddhist philosophy and practicing Dharma we attain inner happiness. As our wisdom increases, we become adept in our ability to cope with the difficulties of modern life. But mainly we learn to eradicate all our problems as we cut the root of suffering, and attain liberation from the suffering of cyclic existence. Moreover, through a sincere effort, and by developing a pure altruistic motivation, we can transform our mind from that of an ordinary being to that of a fully enlightened being. In short, the aim of Moncton Buddhist Centre is to help us improve our behavior and attitude, so that gradually we transform our body, speech and mind into that of a Buddha.
